LOVED this Movie.. and quick update:

Dan in Real Life
I watched this movie 2 1/2 times this weekend. Loved it! I really enjoy those movies that deal with family, and this one most definitely does. Gene thought it was mostly a chick-flick, but he enjoyed it, too. Chloe also liked it! She could relate to the oldest daughter who is always wanting to drive but her dad never lets her! :)

Also, just so everyone knows, Gene blew out his knee this past Thursday playing church volleyball! OUCH! He is on crutches and will be seeing an orthopedic surgeon tomorrow. He knows his knee is busted, this very injury happened to his OTHER knee about 4 years ago and he had surgery on that one, so we know that is what's up with this knee, too. What a bummer..... He's doing OK now, the pain is tolerable, especially when he takes his super cool pain meds. I'll keep you posted on his recovery. It's real fun being married to an old guy.
:)

For those of you LDS peoples... wasn't conference amazing this weekend?! We all watched Saturday morning session and then Sunday morning and afternoon. Haley and Nat did a great job at filling out their papers with conference questions from their primary presidency. What a special weekend this was, and how cool was that "Solemn Assembly" on Saturday morning? What a privilege it was to stand and sustain our new prophet! The spirit was so strong and the messages that were given were right on! What a great weekend.
BTW, did you know that the new General YW's 2nd councilor is President Monson's daughter?! Just some info. for ya....
Anyhow, hope everyone had a lovely conference weekend~

This movie goes down as one of my favorite comedies/romance. How about the scene at the bowling alley? I was laughing so hard that tears came out. We saw this back when it was in the theater and Travis loved it as much as I did.
I plan to buy this one! :)
Steve Carrell is one of my favorite actors. We faithfully watch "The Office" too.

My favorite conference talk was on forgiveness and the atonement in relation to sexual abuse. I will save my more detailed thoughts for my future Mormon Blog but just wanted to add that. I always love the talks on the power of the atonement in helping us forgive others if we expect to be forgiven for our sins. That's the simplicity of it all and the only way we can truly heal from those who hurt us.

I LOVE that movie too! In fact, we just watched that a couple of weeks ago with my family. So sorry for Gene. Both knees now, huh. That stinks! Conference was great, although we weren't able to hear it all as we were travelling, so I look forward to the Ensign.

We hope Gene feels better soon! Curt has had surgery on his knees too (he blew out one of them on Christmas Eve the first year we were married) and it's not fun. So sorry!!

Dan in Real Life is a fun movie. We enjoyed it too. Our favorite line, "This corn is an angel!" We heard Steve Carell ad libbed a bunch in the movie.

Hope you're having a good week! You're awesome, Deb. And yes, I agree - conference was great!

Dan in real life was GREAT. Aaron really liked it too. He has a hard time with movies where the mom dies, he has this big fear of me going before him and leaving him with 3 kids.
