Ultrasound Results......80%

Mystery cake... what color is inside?
Haley got the phone call around 3pm and knew what color to dye the cake!
Pink? Blue? Yellow is we didn't find out?

Haley the baker!
Thanks Michelle C. for letting her bake it in your kitchen to keep it a secret!

4 VERY eager girls... brother? sister?
WHAT IS IT?!?!?

Natalie did the honors....
What color is the cake????

It's
BLUE.
(not green, even though it kinda looks green!)

BLUE CAKE

Blue Cake is delish!

No WAY! A baby brother is on his way. (his???)
Ok, so here's the deal.
The ultrasound tech was 80% positive that this baby is a BOY. She noticed his tiny, little boy parts several times during the ultrsound.
I am only 14 weeks along, so she couldn't be 100% sure.
20 week ultrasound:
Oct. 1, 10:30 am. The entire Lawson clan will be present for this one.
In case I am really, truly having a girl, I'll be just fine. It will be fun thinking I'm having one for the next 5 weeks at least!!!!!
So for now, the Lawson's are possibly, 80% likely, having a BOY.
wow

14 weeks prego AND Depeche Mode!

There just ain't nothin' better than going to a concert while pregnant!! I mean, I've done it before. I was 8 months prego at the Natalie Merchant/Chris Issac show and it was wonderful!
Last night was amazing! At 3 1/2 months prego I went to see my all time fav band, Depeche Mode!
I enjoyed frequent bathroom trips and heartburn, but mostly I enjoyed my friend Kristy's company as we rocked out to our beloved boys of the 80's. ( and laughed as we were discussing the "guy" wearing Capri's... oh wait, it wasn't a guy! oh my, we almost wet our pants laughing! well, I did, anyway!)

I was really excited about getting these jeans from my friend Jenny! I mean, I haven't worn jeans in months and I can button these up and everything!
(I am huge!)
And yes, they make my rear end look HUGE! But hey! I was wearing jeans!

Kristy and I at the show.

Depeche Mode!!
Haven't seen these guys since 1990, it was good to see them again!
They were my first show way back in 1987! So last night makes it 3 times I've seen them live. Wonderful! :)

Rockin' out.

Cool space guys.

"Goodnight SLC!!!"
We got home at 1 am and now I'm zonked! But hey! I get to go to work in an hour! YEA!!!!

I remember taking this kid to her 1st day of K:

I have several friends whose oldest child is beginning kindergarten this year.
Their children are so excited, and the mommies are, too!
It is such a magical time when our kids enter the world of school.
I cried with all 4 of my girls as I left them with their new teacher and class.
Fast forward 12 years:
My oldest daughter is now a SENIOR in high school and this was her first day of her last year of school.
I mean, come on! I remember it like yesterday taking Chloe to Mrs. Gazzaniga's kindergarten class at Loomis Elementary.... she wore a fancy dress and her black "church" shoes that came home dusty from playing in the playground at recess. I remember Chloe was very nervous and shy and when she first stepped foot in that playground she expected the entire class to come running over to invite her to play! Life lesson #42, get out there and mingle, Chloe! Don't expect the world to come to you... you gotta get out there and jump right into the action and be assertive!
Well, she is no longer shy, nor does she wait for the world to come to her. She is crazy and fun and super outgoing and loud and beautiful and tall and old and is leaving me!
Senior year: last year of tennis, proms, DECA, lockers, homeroom, best pals and seminary.
College applications this fall... planning, looking ahead, budgeting... and wondering how the heck we got to this part of our lives so darn soon.
It was only moments ago that I was 25 years old and dropping off my first born for her first day of kindergarten.
All I did was *blink*
and now this very child is embarking upon her last year of high school.
Caution to you moms whose babies are beginning Kindergarten this year:
DON'T BLINK.

See ya.... thanks for the memories!
