Spirit Week @ Liberty Academy~

Haley and Nat have been enjoying Spirit Week at school. Here are a few pictures of the girls before they headed off to school.
Sports Day. (Nice to have an older sister on the high school tennis team!) Pretty pink flats with the tennis dress!! so cute.
Hippie Day. Haley isn't all that dressed up, I know, but she did wear Chloe's "hippie" shirt that says: 'Do your part!' :) (I guess that makes it a Hippie shirt??!!)

Pirate Day!
This day was the best, both girls looked awesome!

Easter 2008~

We had such a great day on Saturday, the day before Easter. That afternoon we took off and first went to lunch in Draper. Yum! Then we hung out at Gene's PGP office for a while. The girls always love visiting daddy's work. Then we headed to Ikea and spent lots of time and money there. We got home and the girls played outside together, Chloe taught Haley how to long board, then we had a nice dinner of waffles and then did our Easter eggs. We spent the entire day together as a family and it was wonderful!
Later that night I told Chloe THANK YOU for having such a great attitude today and spending the day with us. You know.... we only have this kid for another 2 years or so, then she's off to college, so I cherish every moment we are all together!
What a fantastic weekend! I adore my family!
Dying the Easter Eggs:
Big Sis showing Little Sis how it's done.
Everyone having a good time.

She always seems to be shirt-less when dying Easter eggs!

The Egg Hunt:

Even cool big girls like egg hunts.

My YW are #1!

Just a few photos of YW's:
Our gorgeous STAR ice cubes from our New Beginnings... truly, the highlight of our evening.

Chloe and her pal doing lovely gang signs.
Cute girls... a few were missing that day. They were probably hanging out in the mother's lounge hiding... oh wait, that was me back in YW's, my girls would never do that!

Aloha!

The charter school gals had fun Hawaiian Day today at school. They are both looking forward to next week's 'Spirit Week'. Pajama day, Hippie day, Pirate day and a few others, I can't remember.
Fun stuff.
Aloha

Hello

I forget that I can post something even without a photo!

Happy first day of Spring! It is raining here in Utah today and I hope it doesn't turn to snow. I don't mind the rain one bit, but the snow depresses me, especially now that all of our snow has melted. Yesterday was a great day, after school some neighborhood kids came over to play in our backyard with the girls. They play on our huge play structure and pretend that Jack, our Irish Setter, is a sea monster. I was out back gardening a bit and it was fun hearing the laughter and squeals of the kids with Jack running all around.

Haley is doing much better. She went in to get her stitches removed Saturday and we found out she had an infection. She was put on an antibiotic and a cream. It took the doctor a long time to remove the stitches around the infection. But it's clearing up now and she's looking great!

All is well in Young Women's. We had our New Beginnings this past Sunday and it was great. All but 2 girls were there along with their parents, or parent. (We have over 20 girls!) We had a lovely program then some awesome refreshments. Our theme was "Someone Needs Your Star" so all of our food and decorations were stars, including the star ice cubes! Everyone loved it, and were all very impressed with our amazing abilities as YW leaders! (joking) I love my presidency, I appreciate them so much, they all give 100% and that is why our YW's program ROCKS!
I will post some pictures later on.

Just wanted to say hello to everyone! I ran 3+ miles this morning and will now go and have a hot bath while reading my "Sense and Sensibility"~ love it!

Have a great day!

Queen Elizabeth fell off her BIKE:

Poor Haley had a bike accident yesterday. She was riding home from her friend's house and was going a bit too fast and crashed. Since the snow has all melted away, there are tons of pebbles and rocks on the sides of the streets, so I think that was the reason she crashed. I took her to the doctor because I was worried about teeth and other injuries and good thing I did. After Dr. Miller cleaned her up, he discovered a huge gash between her nose and upper lip and put in 3 stitches. Here she is all swollen, with her lovely stitches and scrapes and cuts! She has road rash in her hands, as well as tiny pebbles in between her teeth! She had to floss the rocks out. No loose teeth, but we will have to keep watching in case the top teeth start turning color... Hopefully that won't happen.
I let Haley stay home from school today, she's hurting and it's hard for her to talk!
Poor Queen Elizabeth! Be more careful next time!

Queen Elizabeth I

Haley's 6th grade class presented a wax museum today. Each child chose a person and did a write up on that person, along with props, a costume and a 30 second memorized speech. They were all set up and had buttons on their tables. When someone would push the button, the child became the wax character of the person they have been studying and did their speech. Sometimes there would be questions asked after the speech, and these 6th graders sure knew their stuff! Haley had a BLAST studying Queen Elizabeth I (and last week I rented "Elizabeth, the Golden Years... I HIGHLY recommend this movie, it's amazing!) and we had some super cool books on her from the library and Haley had printed up a bunch of famous quotes by this amazing Queen! So we've had a fun week of Queen Elizabeth! Haley loved this project and did a great job on her speech, I had several mothers come up to me telling me how great she did and how well she knew her material! Great job Haley Elisabeth on portraying Queen Elizabeth!
Waiting patiently for a group to come by to push her button!
Queen Elizabeth!!!

Queen Elizabeth's display area. See the 'button' that activates the Queen Elizabeth wax figure? Anytime a person pushed that button, away she went with her speech!!!

A group listening to Queen Elizabeth's speech.
