Check. Ok. You are ready to roll!

Bring in the VERY surprised 6 year old girl:
Check!

Her reaction?
"WHAT THE HECK??"
And then all of her buddies ran to her and gave her high-fives and hugs.

Oh, we got her sooooo good!!!

Alright, now let me explain. Last year after her 5th b-day party, she told me that for her next birthday she really wanted a surprise party. I kinda laughed and told her sure.
Well, as we got closer to her 6th b-day, that surprise party idea started sounding better and better, so I ran with it.
She had no idea we were planning this party. The theme of the party was surprise (of course!).
The cupcakes were "Oreo Cookie Surprise Cupcakes", the party favors were little firecracker-looking things with fun treats inside (toilet paper rolls with party bag full of treasures stuffed inside, then wrapped up) we had a treasure hunt and each clue was in a balloon which the kids popped and out came the surprise clue! The final clue led them to the Pinata!
It was such a fun party. The kids loved hiding and waiting for Lindsay, they were so dang cute about it!

More pics:

"Freeze Dance"

Boogie down, Lindsay!

"Hot Potato"

I should have posted this pic later on, but this is when that final clue led them to the Pinata!

Reading a clue!!!!

Another clue!
Oh, they sooo loved this. They were totally into it. It was awesome.

Happy Birthday to you, Lindsay-Lu!
(Handy tip with the ice cream. Scoop it out into cupcake liners and place on cookie sheet and keep in freezer until ready to serve. Then, when it's time to serve cupcakes and ice cream, there is no need to scoop out ice cream for every guest, it is already to hand out along with the cupcakes... or cake. Therefore, everyone is served at the same time!)

Presents are the BEST!

Smacking the super cool authentic Mexican Pinata! This sucker took a beating!

The goods inside included:
Plastic frogs, plastic bugs and plastic lizards, along with tasty candy.
The party favors all included a little, plastic snake. Hey, this is Lindsay's party, right?
We had to include Lindsay-type treats and toys!

I am totally 6 years old!
Well, Sunday, Sept. 21 at 2:01 pm she will be!

These are the family presents sitting on our bookshelf right now. She will open these tomorrow on her actual birthday.
The book next to the presents is "Now we are Six". This was a book my mom had as a child, and she gave this book to Chloe when she turned 6!
I can't believe this is my last 6 year old!
I seriously don't know how that happened!?
Anyhow, what a wonderful day. It was a perfect party for our little 6 yr. old and everyone had a fantastic time!
Happy Birthday Linds.

Lindsay is adorable. That looks like a really fun party. I loved the ice cream scoop idea. It takes so long to scoop it when everyone's waiting for it.
